# Proposal

The Proposals section is for Leads and records proposed budgets and project details. Approved proposals can be converted into contracts, changing the lead into a client. This section presents data in a table with details such as lead, proposed amount, creation and validity dates, status, and options for editing, deleting, viewing, downloading, sending, and creating a public link.

The "Create Proposal" option on the top left corner allows you to create new proposals by adding basic details. These include the lead name, validity date, currency, tax calculation, product details, signature requirements, billing details, and a special note for the recipient.

Once saved, individual proposals can be easily viewed with all mandatory details displayed. This viewable document also has the option to be downloaded as a PDF file for user convenience.

Proposals are negotiable documents for discussion between leads and the organization, allowing both parties to finalize details and prices.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wheel-erp.gitbook.io/wheel-erp-user-guide/finance/proposal.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
